Remembering...

I miss Taffy. I found these photos (along with many others) last night while doing some organizing.

Taffy was my cat as a child. Here we are in the innocence of our shared youth...I was 6 years old, she was likely about 6 weeks old.

She wasn't an overly affectionate cat. She appreciated her space, but on occassion, she could be caught sharing a tender moment with me or with someone else in the family (usually my dad - who "hated" cats...um...yeah...sure)

Fast forward 16 years and here is Taffy still with me on my wedding day. Frail at the time, yet we made sure she was part of the day. She sadly left us for the Bridge the following March at 17+ years old.

I have 4 cats now, not to mention the 2 dogs, and they are different, unique and equally as lovable as Taffy was in their own ways, but none of them are her.

I miss you, old friend.
